Zalando-Postgres-Operator-Logical-Backup Overview

Secure your stack with a hardened Zalando-Postgres-Operator-Logical-Backup image freshly-built by Minimus. Minimus images always include the most up-to-date package version for all packages and dependencies contained in the image.

The Zalando Postgres Operator uses the Logical-Backup image to run scheduled logical backups of operator-managed PostgreSQL clusters. Invoked as a Kubernetes CronJob, it locates a healthy cluster pod, runs pg_dumpall, compresses the output with pigz, and uploads the resulting dump to S3, GCS, or Azure Blob Storage.

Zalando-Postgres-Operator-Logical-Backup is designed to run as a Kubernetes CronJob managed by the Zalando Postgres Operator and cannot be tested standalone with docker run. For details on configuring logical backups, refer to the administrator guide.

Technical Considerations
