Newrelic-Infrastructure-K8s is a Kubernetes integration that collects and monitors infrastructure metrics from K8s clusters, including node performance, container resource utilization, and pod health data. It deploys as a DaemonSet to gather telemetry from every node and forwards this data to a centralized monitoring platform for analysis and visualization. The integration enables real-time observability into cluster resource consumption, capacity planning, and infrastructure-level alerting.
Technical Considerations
The Newrelic-Infrastructure-K8s image provided by Minimus is a slim, security-hardened alternative to the public image from Docker Hub. The images are largely interchangeable, with a few differences as noted below.
