Kube-Vip-Cloud-Provider Overview

Secure your stack with a hardened Kube-Vip-Cloud-Provider image freshly-built by Minimus. Minimus images always include the most up-to-date package version for all packages and dependencies contained in the image.

Kube-vip-cloud-provider is a general-purpose cloud provider for bare-metal and virtualized Kubernetes clusters, implementing the LoadBalancer service type by assigning IP addresses from configured pools. It works alongside kube-vip (or another conforming load balancer) to bring native LoadBalancer support to on-prem environments that lack an external cloud provider.

Technical Considerations

The Kube-Vip-Cloud-Provider image provided by Minimus is a slim, security-hardened alternative to the public image from GitHub Container Registry. The images are largely interchangeable, with a few differences as noted below.
