Kgateway-Envoy-Wrapper is the data-plane image that kgateway, a Kubernetes Gateway API and AI gateway implementation, deploys to route and manage traffic for every gateway it manages. It bundles the Envoy proxy with kgateway's built-in traffic-transformation module and startup handling, and platform teams can also reference it directly in a GatewayParameters resource to run custom Envoy filters without kgateway's controller reverting the change on reconciliation. Use this image when you need to meet the requirements for FIPS-validated cryptographic protection.
FIPS 140-3 Certification
This image is FIPS-validated to ensure its cryptographic operations meet the Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) required for secure government and regulated environments. Its core cryptographic modules are validated under the NIST Cryptographic Module Validation Program (CMVP) and comply with the FIPS 140-3 standard.

Try It Out
Take the Minimus Kgateway-Envoy-Wrapper image for a test run by mounting an Envoy bootstrap configuration file:
