K8sGPT Operator Overview

Secure your stack with a hardened K8sGPT Operator image freshly-built by Minimus. Minimus images always include the most up-to-date package version for all packages and dependencies contained in the image.

The K8sGPT Operator is a Kubernetes operator that automates the deployment and lifecycle of K8sGPT inside a cluster. Instead of running k8sgpt analyze manually or wiring up your own cron jobs, you declare a K8sGPT custom resource specifying the AI backend, analyzer filters, and caching options, and the operator reconciles a running K8sGPT deployment to match. It also integrates with Prometheus Alertmanager to trigger analysis automatically when alerts fire, and can push enriched, AI-generated explanations to Slack or other configured notifiers.

Technical Considerations

The K8sGPT Operator image provided by Minimus is a slim, security-hardened alternative to the public image from Docker Hub. The images are largely interchangeable, with a few differences as noted below.

K8sGPT Operator built by Minimus:

Runs as non-root by default, using UID/GID 65532:65532.
Drill down on the version specification tab to see the default user, listening ports, entrypoint, volumes, environment variables, etc.
