K6 Overview

Secure your stack with a hardened K6 image freshly-built by Minimus. Minimus images always include the most up-to-date package version for all packages and dependencies contained in the image.


K6 is an open-source load testing tool designed for testing the performance and reliability of APIs, microservices, and websites. It uses Go for execution and JavaScript for writing test scripts, enabling developers to define complex load scenarios with minimal code. K6 measures metrics like response times, throughput, and error rates under various load conditions to identify performance bottlenecks.


Technical Considerations

The K6 image provided by Minimus is a slim, security-hardened alternative to the public image from Docker Hub. The images are largely interchangeable, with a few differences as noted below.
