Elastic-Agent is a single, unified agent that collects and ships data from hosts and services to a central observability platform. It automatically manages its own configuration and updates, supporting multiple data collection methods including logs, metrics, and traces from various integrations. The agent operates with minimal overhead and can be deployed across diverse infrastructure environments.
Technical Considerations
The Elastic-Agent image provided by Minimus is a slim, security-hardened alternative to the public image from Docker Hub. The images are largely interchangeable, with a few differences as noted below.
Elastic-Agent built by Minimus:
- Drill down on the version specification tab to see the default user, listening ports, entrypoint, volumes, environment variables, etc.
