DataHub Frontend React Overview

Secure your stack with a hardened DataHub Frontend React image freshly-built by Minimus. Minimus images always include the most up-to-date package version for all packages and dependencies contained in the image.

DataHub Frontend React is the web-based user interface for DataHub, the open-source metadata platform for data discovery, data observability, and federated governance. It provides a search-driven UI for browsing datasets, pipelines, dashboards, and their lineage across your data ecosystem.

Try It Out

Prerequisites: A running DataHub GMS (backend) instance.

Take the Minimus DataHub Frontend React image for a test run:

docker run --rm \
  -p 9002:9002 \
  -e DATAHUB_GMS_HOST=<gms-host> \
  -e DATAHUB_GMS_PORT=8080 \
  reg.mini.dev/datahub-frontend-react

Visit http://localhost:9002 to access the DataHub UI.

Technical Considerations

The DataHub Frontend React image provided by Minimus is a slim, security-hardened alternative to the public image from Docker Hub. The images are largely interchangeable, with a few differences as noted below.

DataHub Frontend React built by Minimus:

Runs as non-root as user 100 (datahub) to align with the public image.
Drill down on the version specification tab to see the default user, listening ports, entrypoint, volumes, environment variables, etc.
