\n\n# Argo Rollouts Helm Chart\n\nArgo Rollouts is a Kubernetes controller and set of CRDs which provide advanced deployment capabilities such as blue-green, canary, canary analysis, experimentation, and progressive delivery features to Kubernetes. The Minimus Argo Rollouts Helm chart automates deployment and configuration of Argo Rollouts in Kubernetes clusters using Minimus images.\n\n \n## {{icon-list-search}} Prerequisites\n\n- A subscription to the Minimus images included in the chart\n- A running Kubernetes cluster (v1.21 or higher is recommended)\n- `kubectl` installed and configured\n- Helm v3.8 or higher for OCI support ([Installation instructions](https://helm.sh/docs/intro/install/))\n- Cluster Admin privileges are required for CRD installation and cluster-scoped RBAC. (The chart installs Argo Rollouts Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs) such as `Rollout`, `AnalysisTemplate`, and `Experiment`.) \n\n\n

\n\n## {{icon-rocket}}Try It Out\n\nIn this example we will deploy Argo Rollouts on a Kubernetes cluster using the Minimus Argo Rollouts Helm chart. Argo Rollouts provides advanced deployment strategies including canary and blue-green deployments for your Kubernetes workloads.\n\n

\n\n### Step 1: Start Cluster\n\n

\n\nIf you have a cluster to work with, skip this step. Otherwise, start a Minikube cluster. [Deployment instructions](https://minikube.sigs.k8s.io/docs/start/?arch=%2Flinux%2Fx86-64%2Fstable%2Fbinary+download)\n\n

\n\n### Step 2: Create Namespace\n\n

\n\nCreate a namespace:\n\n```\nkubectl create ns argo-rollouts\n```\n\n{{if-enterprise}}\n\nNext, create a Kubernetes secret for the Minimus token:\n\n```\nkubectl create secret docker-registry minimus-registry \\\n --docker-server=reg.mini.dev \\\n --docker-username=minimus \\\n --docker-password={{pull-token}} \\\n --namespace=argo-rollouts\n```\n\n{{/if-enterprise}}\n\n

\n\n### Step 3: Deploy the Helm Chart\n\n

\n\nDeploy the Minimus Helm chart:\n\n```\nhelm install my-argo-rollouts {{oci-url}} \\\n --version {{chart-version}} \\\n -n argo-rollouts \\\n --wait\n```\n\nIf you want to override the chart's defaults, go to the Values tab and save a copy locally with your changes. Deploy the chart with your overrides using `-f values.yaml`:\n\n```\nhelm install my-argo-rollouts {{oci-url}} \\\n --version {{chart-version}} \\\n -f values.yaml \\\n -n argo-rollouts \\\n --wait\n```\n\nBy default, the controller manages Rollouts via CRDs and has no web UI. Below is a `values.yaml` example that enables the dashboard on port 3100 so you can inspect canary steps and promote or abort rollouts without the `kubectl argo rollouts` CLI:\n\n\n```\nargo-rollouts:\n imagePullSecrets:\n - name: minimus-registry\n controller:\n image:\n registry: reg.mini.dev\n repository: argo-rollouts-fips\n tag: \"v1.9.0\"\n\n dashboard:\n enabled: true\n service:\n type: ClusterIP\n port: 3100\n ingress:\n enabled: false\n```\n\n`ClusterIP` exposes the dashboard only inside the cluster (for example via `kubectl port-forward`). Set `ingress.enabled: true` when you want a hostname for team access.\n\n

\n\n### Step 4: Verify Argo Rollouts is Running\n\n

\n\nConfirm the chart deployed successfully and Argo Rollouts started:\n\n```\nkubectl get pods -n argo-rollouts\n```\n\nYou should see output similar to:\n\n```output\nNAME READY STATUS RESTARTS AGE\nmy-argo-rollouts-argo-rollouts-xxxxxxxxx-xxxxx 1/1 Running 0 2m\nmy-argo-rollouts-argo-rollouts-xxxxxxxxx-xxxxx 1/1 Running 0 2m\n```\n\n

\n\nVerify that the Argo Rollouts CRDs are installed and the controller is operational:\n\n```\nkubectl get crd rollouts.argoproj.io\n```\n\nYou should see the Rollout CRD listed. \n\nNext, create a sample Rollout to verify the controller processes it:\n\n```\nkubectl apply -n argo-rollouts -f - <\n\n### Step 6: Clean Up\n\n\n\nUninstall the chart and delete the namespace to remove all resources:\n\n```bash\nhelm uninstall my-argo-rollouts -n argo-rollouts\nkubectl delete namespace argo-rollouts\n```\n\n
