Redis-Cluster-Advanced Overview
Secure your stack with a hardened Redis-Cluster-Advanced image freshly-built by Minimus. Minimus images always include the most up-to-date package version for all packages and dependencies contained in the image.
The Redis-Cluster image is used to run a distributed Redis cluster, enabling automatic data sharding, replication, and high availability across multiple nodes.
About Minimus Advanced Images
Minimus Advanced images are designed to be deployed in Kubernetes, often with Helm charts. Advanced images add operational tooling including pre-configured environment variables, lifecycle hooks (pre-start, post-start, shutdown), and helper scripts, so you can deploy and manage applications with minimal manual setup.
Technical Considerations
The Redis-Cluster-Advanced image provided by Minimus is a slim, security-hardened alternative to the public image from Docker Hub. The two images are interchangeable, with a few security-driven differences.
Redis-Cluster-Advanced built by Minimus:
- Runs as non-root by default as user 1001 for a security-first approach.
- Drill down on the version specification tab for the complete list of environment variables.
The payoff
A hardened, minimal image that will remain more secure for the long run and accrue vulnerabilities at a slower rate. See the risk reduction dashboard for a detailed CVE comparison over the past 30 days.
