Objectstorage-controller is a Kubernetes controller that manages the lifecycle and configuration of object storage resources within a cluster. It reconciles the desired state of object storage instances defined in custom resources with the actual cluster state, handling provisioning, scaling, and credential management. The controller enables declarative object storage management through Kubernetes-native APIs and integrates storage operations into standard cluster orchestration workflows.
Technical Considerations
The Objectstorage-Controller image provided by Minimus is a slim, security-hardened alternative to the public image from Docker Hub. The images are largely interchangeable, with a few differences as noted below.
