Logto Overview
Secure your stack with a hardened Logto image freshly-built by Minimus. Minimus images always include the most up-to-date package version for all packages and dependencies contained in the image.
Logto is an identity and access management platform for SaaS and AI apps. It provides authentication, authorization, and user management with support for OAuth 2.1, OIDC, and SAML, along with built-in features for passwordless login, social sign-in, multi-factor authentication, enterprise SSO, and role-based access control.
Try It Out
Take the Minimus Logto image for a test run using Docker Compose. Logto requires a PostgreSQL database; the compose file below provisions one automatically.
Step 1: Create a Compose File
Save the following as docker-compose.yml:
services:
app:
depends_on:
postgres:
condition: service_healthy
image: reg.mini.dev/logto
entrypoint: ["sh", "-c", "npm run cli db seed -- --swe && npm start"]
ports:
- 3001:3001
- 3002:3002
environment:
- TRUST_PROXY_HEADER=1
- DB_URL=postgres://postgres:p0stgr3s@postgres:5432/logto
postgres:
image: reg.mini.dev/postgres:latest
user: postgres
environment:
POSTGRES_USER: postgres
POSTGRES_PASSWORD: p0stgr3s
healthcheck:
test: ["CMD-SHELL", "pg_isready"]
interval: 5s
timeout: 5s
retries: 5Step 2: Start Logto
docker compose -p logto upOnce startup completes, open http://localhost:3002 to reach the Admin Console and http://localhost:3001 for the Logto API.
Clean Up
docker compose -p logto downTechnical Considerations
The Logto image provided by Minimus is a slim, security-hardened alternative to the public image from Docker Hub. The images are largely interchangeable, with a few differences as noted below.
Logto built by Minimus:
- Drill down on the version specification tab to see the default user, listening ports, entrypoint, volumes, environment variables, etc.
The Payoff
A hardened, minimal image that will remain more secure for the long run and accrue vulnerabilities at a slower rate.
- See the risk reduction dashboard for a detailed CVE comparison over the past 30 days.
- Review the compliance report to see the default hardening and security configurations for the image.
