Datadog Cluster Agent Overview
Secure your stack with a hardened Datadog Cluster Agent image freshly-built by Minimus. Minimus images always include the most up-to-date package version for all packages and dependencies contained in the image.
The Datadog Cluster Agent for Kubernetes is used to collect cluster level monitoring data. It acts as a proxy between the API server and node-based Agents and helps to alleviate server load.
Try It Out
For a quick test, print the version information. Add your Datadog API key before running the command:

The Datadog Cluster Agent image provided by Minimus is a slim, security-hardened alternative to the public image from Docker Hub. The images are largely interchangeable, with a few differences as noted below.
Datadog Cluster Agent built by Minimus:
- Runs as root to support required functions. The public image also runs as root.
- Drill down on the version specification tab to see the default user, listening ports, entrypoint, volumes, environment variables, etc.
