AWS-Network-Policy-Agent Overview
Secure your stack with a hardened AWS-Network-Policy-Agent image freshly-built by Minimus. Minimus images always include the most up-to-date package version for all packages and dependencies contained in the image.
AWS-Network-Policy-Agent is a Kubernetes controller that enforces network policies by managing security group rules and network ACLs on AWS infrastructure. It translates Kubernetes NetworkPolicy objects into AWS-native network controls, enabling fine-grained traffic filtering at the pod and node level. The agent runs as a DaemonSet on cluster nodes to apply policies directly to the underlying EC2 instances and their associated network interfaces.
Technical Considerations
The AWS-Network-Policy-Agent image provided by Minimus is a slim, security-hardened alternative to the public image from Docker Hub. The images are largely interchangeable, with a few differences as noted below.
